Yousef Awyan is a distinguished Khemitologist, stonemason, artist, and musician dedicated to preserving and sharing the profound heritage of ancient Egypt through exploration, education, and cultural expression.

Born and raised in Nazlet el Saman, just a dolerite stone’s throw from the Sphinx entrance to the Giza Plateau, Yousef Awyan has been immersed in the rich history of Egypt from birth. His father, the renowned Egyptologist Abd’el Hakim Awyan, imparted to him the secrets and mysteries of ancient Khemit, the ancient name for the land of Egypt. Honoring his father's legacy, Yousef co-founded the Khemit School of Ancient Mysticism with his wife, Patricia Awyan, serving as Co-Director. The school serves as an open forum to share Hakim's teachings and to continue the exploration and research of ancient mysteries.
As a skilled stonemason, Yousef has a deep understanding of ancient Egyptian construction techniques and symbolism. During his infamous and specialised tours of ancient Egyptian sites, Yousef often shares insights into the advanced stone-cutting methods employed in antiquity - and through his good humour challenges the narrative of dolerite pounding stones as the principle construction method.
Yousef is also an accomplished musician, creating and playing music that resonates with the spiritual traditions of ancient Egypt and UnchartedX and Brothers of the Serpent fans will no doubt have heard his contributions whenever they have jammed together on tour.
